Hulu just announced at New York Comic-Con that it has renewed Solar Opposites for a fifth season even though the series hasn’t even begun its fourth season.
The 12-episode fourth season of the comedy series will not come out until next year. The series’ third season premiered on July 13, and the Sinister Halloween Scary Opposites Solar Special Halloween special was released on October 3.
Justin Roiland (Rick & Morty) and Mike McMahan (Star Trek: Lower Decks) co-created Solar Opposites, a show about four aliens, split evenly on whether Earth is awful or wonderful. Korvo (Justin Roiland) and Yumyulack (Sean Giambrone) see only pollution, crass consumerism, and human weakness, while Terry (Thomas Middleditch) and Jesse (Mary Mack) love TV, junk food, and fun stuff.
Roiland, McMahan, and Josh Bycel produced the animated comedy and is produced by 20th Television Animation.
Hulu is working on two other animated series, The Paloni Show! Halloween Special! and Koala Man for Hulu Originals.
